All islands of the North Aegean offer numerous activities both at sea and shore.
In the North Aegean region, 22 areas with total surface of 3,266 ha and length of 8km have been identified as wetlands.
26 areas of the North Aegean are part of the Natura 2000 network.
The islands of the North Aegean include a unique corpus of 60 monuments of geological interest (volcanoes, geological configurations), as well as monuments of palaeo-archaeological and historical interest.
