The products of Epirus are a unique diet proposal. Honesty and ecological perception, a unique microclimate that favors the production of high nutritional value goods and a long tradition of simplicity and alliance with nature, make up the continental culture of agricultural and livestock production.

In the Arta Prefecture, Preveza and Thesprotia, we observe the cultivation of many citrus fruits, the most important among them being the variety of Washington Navel (Merlin). In the last few years, equally important varieties such as New Hall, Navelina, Nanelate, Lane Late, Valencia, and Salustiana have appeared. In Epirus, we also find several sunflowers, mandarins and oranges.

Today, Epirus, and in particular the region of Filippiada, is characterized as one of the country’s main pig-breeding centers. In total, there are roughly 85 systematic pig farms. At the same time sheep breeding is developed, with more than 9,000 flocks of sheep.
