The Region of Epirus is a land of delicate travel secrets. The primitive landscape with beautiful mountains, untouched coastlines, cities and villages that keep their traditions and color are combined with an authentic culture and history that is lost in the depths of the centuries.

Epirus is the ideal travel destination for all seasons. Unique sights, excellent local cuisine and pure products, high level hospitality from the people of Epirus and countless landscapes to discover, combine the physiognomy of the Epirus land.

Epirotic cuisine is a powerful element of the Epirus tradition. The epirotic cuisine is basically “mountainous” and is mainly based on livestock products: milk, yoghurt, cheese, sheep meat and goat meat. In Ioannian cuisine we will meet eel on grill, pie with weeds, hare, wild boar, but also partridges and woodcocks, which are often combined with the Ioannian noodles. Kontosouvli will have a prominent role in many dishes, local sausages, pork, boiled goose and leek meatballs, are indeed some very important dishes in the region’s gastronomy. Also important are the lamb in the hull, the roe deer, the kotsi, the rooster, but also the meat soups.

Flavors and history, landscapes and people make up a unique travel destination. Epirus is waiting for the traveler to introduce him to its wonderful secrets.
