Netourwork provided high quality services and technical support for the “Invest, Rebuild & Restart the African Travel & Tourism Sector”, organized by ITIC (International Tourism & Investment Conference) and held on April 7-8 2021.The introduction was made by Dr Taleb Rifai, Chairman ITIC and former Secretary-General UNWTO.
Discussions was made about, investing in Sustainable Travel and Tourism projects in Africa and restarting the sector in the post Covid-19 era and the economic landscape to optimise investment opportunities in the tourism sector in Africa. Also, they discussed about how vaccination process will contribute to restore trust and a sense of security to restart the travel and tourism sector, the changing landscape of capital raising, investment criteria and risk management to attract the ‘right’ investor for your project and rebuilding Africa’s travel and tourism sector while enhancing its resilience. At the end, they talked about the critical need of effectively branding and marketing Africa as a single destination.
